Set Out Time: 6:00 AM

Garbage Pickup

Container: Meridian Waste provided 65-gallon cart. All items must be in the cart.

Frequency: Once per week on Wednesdays

Materials Accepted: Non-hazardous municipal solid waste

Weight Limits: 90 lbs. / per container

Yard Waste Pickup

Quantity: Maximum twenty (20) bags (biodegradable paper) or bundled and stacked and tied with natural fiber twine, no carts. Bundled stacks of limbs and brush must be less than 18" in diameter and 4’ in length. Individual branches can be no more than 6” in diameter.

Frequency: Collection two times a year at no additional cost on the 1st Wed. of May and the 2nd Wed. of Sept.

Materials Accepted: Leaves, grass clippings, pulled weeds, small limbs, and branches. No dirt, rocks, or mulch.

Weight Limits: Less than 50 lb. each.

Customers can schedule collection of additional yard waste on the 3rd Wednesday of each month for a fee, with a minimum of four (4) bags or bundles and maximum of twenty (20) bags or bundles per collection. Please contact City Hall at (573) 898-5588 to schedule collection.

Large Household Items

Quantity: 1 item.

Frequency: Last Weds. of the month

Materials Accepted: Large household items are objects too big for the garbage cart, such as toilets, sinks, bicycles, mattresses, carpet, fencing, and large household furnishings.

Weight Limits: 1 item at a 75lb. max, able to be safely lifted by one person.

White Goods / Appliance Pickup

Frequency: Collection of White Goods must be scheduled in advance, and there is a charge per item for pick-up.

Materials Accepted: Stove, washer, etc.

How to Place Carts Curbside

Close cart lid, point handle away from street, place on edge of street. Keep cart 3 feet away from all objects.
