Set Out Time: 6:00 AM - Trash, recycling, and yard waste are all collected on the same day

Garbage Pickup

Container: Meridian Waste provided 95- or 65- gallon cart and / or customer container

Frequency: Once per week

Materials Accepted: Containerized, non-hazardous municipal solid waste

Weight Limits: 60 lbs. / container

Containerized waste only; Please call Meridian Waste if you need a cart.

Recycling Pickup

Container: Meridian Waste provided 95 or 65-gallon cart

Quantity: One (1) single-stream recycling cart

Frequency: Once per week

Materials Accepted:

Plastics labeled #s 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7; aluminum, tin, and steel cans; corrugated cardboard (flattened); and mixed paper. Flattened boxes can be placed next to the container when container is full and measures less than 3 ft by 3ft in length. Do NOT place boxes inside of each other for collection.

ITEMS MUST BE CLEAN, with non-paper items rinsed and labels removed. NO glass, plastic bags, plastic films, or construction materials. Do NOT bag recyclable materials.

Yard Waste Pickup

Container: Customer provided cans / biodegradable paper bags

Frequency: Once per week

Materials Accepted: Leaves, grass, limbs and branches (bundled) less than 4 ft in length or 4 inch diameter

Weight Limits: 60 lbs. / bag or container

Bulk Waste Pickup

Quantity: One item per week at no charge

Frequency: Once per week

Materials Accepted: Large items like toilets, sinks, mattresses, carpet, fencing, and big household furnishings

Weight Limits: Safe for two men to pick up

$20 per additional item. Call to schedule.

White Goods / Appliance Pickup

Materials Accepted: Stoves, washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc.

GREEN TAG CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION PROGRAM

Meridian Waste will be using green tags to educate residents and keep the recycling stream clean and free from contaminants. If you receive a green tag on your cart, that means there are incorrect items in your recycling cart that have contaminated the stream. Upon receiving a green tag, please remove the incorrect items and reset your cart at the curb on your next recycling pickup day. We appreciate your cooperation.
