Meridian Waste Names Kirstyn Shepler as Director - Safety, Risk and Human Resources
GREENSBORO, Ga. (October 15, 2018) – Meridian Waste, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, is pleased to announce Kirstyn Shepler as director of safety, risk and human resources.
Shepler will be responsible for companywide safety programs as well as managing risk and human resources functions. She joins the company from Willis Towers Watson, where she was a senior claims consultant supporting large clients in various risk management initiatives.

Prior to her role at Willis Towers Watson, Shepler was the manager of risk and insurance at Advanced Disposal, where she directed a team of six risk professionals and managed high exposure liability, workers’ compensation, environmental liability and first party property claims.
Shepler holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Carolina State University. She also holds several industry certifications including Certified Insurance Counselor Designation, RIMS Certified Risk Management Professional Designation, and Certified Risk Manager Designation.
