Cities of Louisville and Wrens Select Meridian Waste as Solid Waste Provider
Service in Both Cities to Begin September 1
AUGUSTA, Ga. (June 28, 2019) – Meridian Waste, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, was awarded solid waste services contracts by both the City of Wrens and the City of Louisville at recent council meetings. The change in contracted haulers was based upon multiple factors including previous management experience with the two cities, the management’s quality service record and the commitment to utilize a smaller collection truck to help maintain and preserve the Cities’ streets.
Beginning September 2, Meridian Waste will provide residents with once a week garbage collection utilizing 95-gallon carts. The residential carts will be delivered by August 30 to each home along with detailed collection education materials, company contact information, and the opportunity to sign up for service alerts. The fee for solid waste services will be paid by the cities to Meridian Waste and remain as a line item on residential units’ water bills.
“At Meridian Waste, garbage service is more than just a competitive price, which we offered to both Wrens and Louisville,” said Bobby Williams, area president of Meridian Waste. “We believe that the most important aspect is the team of environmental professionals who stand with the Company, who interact with your citizens, who keep the trucks running smoothly and on time, and who listen to customers’ needs that make a world of difference in our vital service industry. Both cities deserve quality service, and that is exactly what Meridian Waste will deliver.”
Williams and the Meridian Waste team members are veterans of the local market, as they have led the Augusta operations for Advanced Disposal for many years prior to joining forces with Meridian Waste.
