Meridian Waste Tackles Trash During Warrenton’s Fall Festival
In-Kind Services Donation Valued At $10,000
BRIDGETON, Mo. (October 1, 2019) – Meridian Waste, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, stepped up to the call of duty to help out its customer, the City of Warrenton, on September 29 by donating approximately $10,000 worth of in-kind environmental services to keep the streets of Warrenton clean during this year’s Fall Festival. The Company provided two rear load collection trucks, 14 employees committing 19.5 hours of service, 56 garbage carts, and street sweeping services to make certain the City looked bright and fresh during and after the event. According to Bob Mathis, Meridian Waste’s Missouri Area President, the company helped to ensure that food crumbs and litter were cleaned from the streets during the special festivities.
“Giving back to the communities we serve is an important core value of Meridian Waste,” said Mathis. “The Meridian Waste team takes extreme pride in a clean and healthy environment. We are proud to be in a unique position to help our local government communities as well as individual homes and businesses in achieving a beautiful place to live, work and recreate,” he said. “Keeping big special events tidy isn’t an easy job, but it’s so rewarding to see the community come together, celebrate the season, and enjoy the great outdoors. Being Warrenton’s partner in a clean environment is our privilege and an honor.”
More than 1,000 people enjoyed this year’s Fall Festival while participating and spectating during the car and motorcycle show, the Kid’s Corner, and a magic show along with concerts on the street featuring The Ozark Mountain Dare Devils.
