‘Summer Splash Bash’ returns in August
WHO: Meridian Waste North Carolina LLC, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, is hosting its second annual Summer Splash Bash at the newly-named Shotwell Environmental Park to celebrate summertime and the start of the new school season with family-friendly activities for all ages.
WHAT/WHY: Area children, adults, families, non-profits, and civic organizations are invited to the environmental facility.
“Summer Splash Bash is back,” said Meridian Waste North Carolina Area President Josh Daher. “We’ve had such a great response from the community and want to keep the fun going,” he said. “The Summer Splash Bash is becoming an annual party before school starts. We look forward to seeing neighbors, friends, and families back here for another splash down!”
Activities will include Meridian Waste’s signature Touch-A-Truck display, where attendees can get up close and touch the trucks and heavy machinery used in the environmental services industry. Other activities will include:

Inflatable obstacle course

Hayride landfill tours

Field day events such as balloon toss, corn hole, and more.
