MERIDIAN WASTE ACCEPTS ITEMS TO ‘FILL THE 40’ FOR TOYS FOR TOTS

- Meridian Waste to fill a 40-yard container with toys and gifts

for children this Christmas season -

FORISTELL, MO. (October 3, 2022) – Meridian Waste Missouri LLC, a subsidiary of Meridian Waste, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, is asking for the community’s help to collect new, unwrapped toys and gifts for Toys for Tots this Christmas season.

Fill the 40 is a Meridian Waste initiative to help collect items for causes by setting a collection goal of filling the company’s largest 40-yard container. Meridian Waste Missouri locations are designated official drop-off sites for Toys for Tots this year. In partnership with the local Toys for Tots chapters, Meridian Waste is collecting toys and gifts for children ages one to 17 to help make the holidays brighter for local families.

“For the second year in a row, we are proud to help promote and serve as official drop-off locations for the campaigns in our service neighborhoods,” said Area President Gregg Asciutto. “We believe that through the efforts and donations, we can help bring warmth and comfort while positively impacting many young lives and lightening the financial burden felt by many during this special time for families.”

Meridian Waste is collecting unwrapped toys and gifts through Monday, December 5, along with local municipalities and business partners.

“We are honored to be working with Toys for Tots, an extraordinary volunteer organization celebrating 75 years of bringing joy to children in our service communities,” said Barbie Russo, Meridian Waste Missouri’s Government Affairs and Community Relations Manager.  “We need our greater community of family, friends, neighbors, and customers to help make this campaign successful.  Please donate toys and spread the word to put a smile on every child’s face,” said Russo.
