Garbage Men & Women Doing Good in the Community
Here you will find a selection of our stories from the communities we serve and the environmental heroes who are part of the Meridian Waste team.
40 Yards to Feed the Community is a Meridian Waste initiative to help fortify the reserves of local food pantries to feed individuals and families. The Company teams up with local food pantries in the communities in which they serve to help their neighbors in need. The measurement of a 40-yard roll-off container from Meridian Waste can collect approximately 23,000-pounds of food or 19,000 meals.
On the cold morning of January 23, Meridian Waste / Shotwell Landfill volunteers collected 200 lbs. of litter and debris along Smithfield Road during its monthly Adopt-A-Road clean up sponsorship.
Keeping the environment clean & green goes beyond garbage service in North Carolina. Meridian Waste donated $1,100 to the Triangle Land Conservancy providing TLC in more ways than one!
Meridian Waste Missouri, LLC, a subsidiary of Meridian Waste, is asking for the community’s help to feed those in need by stocking the shelves of The Lake Food Pantry serving Lincoln, St. Charles, and Warren Counties.
Acts of kindness sometimes make the giver feel as good or better than they do the recipient. It is lovely to hear words of thanks for the positive impact you've made on a worthy group. Thank YOU for thanking US!
