The Meridian Waste Eagle Ridge Landfill invited the Pike County community to visit the facility and enjoy the Eagle Ridge Landfill Fall Harvest Family Fun Fest on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
Meridian Waste held the inaugural Eagle Ridge Landfill Fall Harvest Family Fun Fest to showcase the environmental facility and share the company’s appreciation for the surrounding community.
“Fall is the perfect time to invite our neighbors to Eagle Ridge to enjoy the outdoors while learning something new. The Meridian Waste team of professionals believes in giving back to the community, and this was our newest effort to say thank you,” said General Manager Roger Smith. “In addition, the landfill will be converting its methane gas into usable, clean energy when we break ground in late 2021 on our newest environmental initiative.”
The free lunch was catered by Bandana’s BBQ. Activities included a bounce house, lawn games, a selfie photo area, and a Touch-A-Truck heavy machinery display.
The Eagle Ridge Landfill provides a vital infrastructure asset to Pike County and the greater St. Louis marketplace by offering environmentally safe disposal. The landfill is one of the top revenue-producing properties in the County, with quarterly host fees and property taxes to benefit local citizens.
