The City of Winfield's 'Celebrate Winfield' event at the Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 11, was an All-American hit. The event featured food, crafts, live music, games, a kid's zone, and fireworks. The day kicked off with a Benefit for the Brave charity 5k run/walk.
The celebration brought the community together to remember our nation's spirit on September 11 and honor our first responders and veterans. In addition, a special effort to honor the 13 US Military service members, and their families, who recently lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Afghanistan.
Meridian Waste Missouri donated the trash services for the event, to include a 20-yard roll-off container. We're proud to celebrate our nation's heroes and remember those who lost their lives in these tragic events.
