MERIDIAN WASTE HOSTS CHILDREN’S TOUCH-A-TRUCK EVENT AT SHOTWELL CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION (C&D) LANDFILL, MAY 1
WHO Meridian Waste North Carolina, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, is hosting a Touch-a-Truck event for the East Wake Education Foundation and local neighbors.
WHAT Families and students are invited to participate in the free event located in the field. Various types of vehicles used in the environmental services industry will be in place and attendees can touch, tour, and view a variety of activities their favorite “Trash Man” does every day to keep local communities clean and green.
WHEN Saturday, May 1 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

WHY Meridian Waste North Carolina is committed to being a part of the community and is offering an inside experience at the landfill and recycling operations. “Children enjoy seeing our trucks collect and essentially ‘eat’ their garbage when we’re out and on routes in their neighborhoods. Touch-a-Truck offers our biggest fans a chance to get in the trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles to check it out for themselves,” said Meridian Waste North Carolina Area President Josh Daher. “
