MERIDIAN WASTE CHARITY PUMPKIN PATCH GIVES BACK TO
LOCAL COMMUNITY WITH FREE EVENT ON OCTOBER 8

Public invited to fall festivities including inflatables, touch-a-truckyard and free picnic lunch

WHO: Meridian Waste, an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, and Shotwell Environmental Park will host a free, fall event for the local community.

WHAT: Event activities include pumpkin and face painting, inflatable games, corn hole, balloon twisting, hayride tours, and a touch-a-truck display. The Charity Pumpkin Patch will support local nonprofits.

WHEN: Saturday, October 8from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHERE: Meridian Waste Shotwell Environmental Park

4724 Smithfield Rd., Wendell, NC.

WHY: Meridian Waste is dedicated to supporting and giving back to the community and neighbors in need with its third year of hosting a family-friendly event. Previous donations have supported neighboring non-profits such as the Triangle Land Conservancy,East WakeEducation Foundation, and Good Hope Baptist Church. 

MORE INFORMATION:

Pumpkins will be available in three sizes with suggested donations of $5 for medium, $10 for large, and $15 for an extra-large pumpkin. Donations are suggested and are not required to visit the facility and participate in activities.Meridian Waste is giving 100 percent of monies raised from pumpkin donations to local non-profits and will match all contributions to double the amount provided to local charities.
