Touch-A-Truck Event Awes Young Students

ECO Waste (a Meridian Waste Company) drivers Brantley “BJ” Thompson and William Gantt, Sr. along with General Manager John Prochak became BIG STARS today as they hosted a Touch-A-Truck event among 20+ young students at Great Adventures Learning Academy in Easley, SC. The students were eager to learn how they can have a positive impact on a cleaner environment by properly disposing of their garbage and recyclables and always picking up after themselves. The ECO team reinforced that everyone needs to be careful not to litter including our own operations while explaining the benefits of using a tarp to cover all waste loads to prevent littering and falling debris. Naturally, the SUPER STARS were the trucks themselves with moving hydraulic parts and incredible crunching sounds as the equipment operated to contain, lift and transport the waste material to its final disposal location.
