Guests enjoyed an inflatable water slide and obstacle course, slip & slide, bubble station and free hot dogs, hamburgers and frozen treats. Hayride landfill and MRF tours were also offered, as well as the signature Meridian Waste Touch-A-Truck display, where attendees were invited to touch the trucks and heavy machinery used in environmental services industry.
“At Meridian Waste, we love what we do, and we thoroughly enjoy sharing our environmental facilities with the greater community with the continuation of Splash Bash for its fourth year in a row,” said Area President Patrick Messinger. “Shotwell Environmental Park is a vital infrastructure asset committed to handling, recycling and disposing of the Raleigh marketplace’s construction and demolition debris (C&D) material in a safe and efficient manner. We will soon be opening our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) for greater recycling of our C&D materials, and the MRF preview was definitely the highlight of our hayride landfill tours.”
