Meridian Waste, celebrated an Earth Day-themed event on Saturday, April 9 with more than 600 neighbors and community members from Wake, Johnston, other neighboring counties at the Shotwell Landfill, soon to be renamed Shotwell Environmental Park,4724 Smithfield Road in Wendell, NC.

Meridian Waste announced that it closed on the purchase of Pinnacle Waste, LLC and Triad Waste, LLC, located in Goldsboro, NC and Sanford, NC respectively. Meridian Waste will operate out of Chatham County situated between two of the state’s three largest centers of population and commerce, the Triangle Region and the Piedmont-Triad region. The closing on both acquisitions was effective March 1, 2022.
Meridian Waste is hosting its third annual Earth Day-themed coloring contest, “Brightening the World,” for children from five to 10-years of age. Earth Day is Friday, April 22.
