Meridian Waste gifted 127 turkeys equaling approximately 2,667 lbs. of Thanksgiving’s main course to neighbors contiguous or impacted by the company’s disposal operations at its six landfills throughout its six state footprint.
Meridian Waste was proud to be a Silver Sponsor at the East Wake Education Foundation Pearl Gala which raised $85,000 for early childhood programming in eastern Wake County.
It was Career Day today at Callahan Elementary School (Nassau County, FL) and the Meridian Waste crew was happy to participate and instruct the student on becoming environmental heroes.

Meridian Waste Virginia welcomed more than 300 community members including elected officials, County staff, neighbors, students, and families to the Third Annual Fall Fun Fest on Saturday, October 28.
Today started off with a bang at Lyman Elementary School in Lyman, SC when 600+ students got to learn all about the mechanical aspects of Meridian Waste’s rear load garbage truck during the Touch-A-Truck event.
The William David Vaughn scholarship provides two scholarships of $1,500 to two students from Southern Alamance High School (1 athlete and 1 non-athlete).
Vision RNG and Meridian Waste celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the State of Missouri’s first Landfill Gas (LFG) to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) plant at Meridian’s Eagle Ridge Landfill in Bowling Green, Missouri.
Guests enjoyed pumpkin painting, inflatable slides, obstacle courses, face painting, and a free BBQ lunch. The main attraction was the pumpkin patch where guests picked a pumpkin and made a charitable donation which Meridian Waste generously matched. This year’s donation recipients are East Wake Education Foundation and Good Hope Baptist Church.
