It was Career Day today at Callahan Elementary School (Nassau County, FL) and the Meridian Waste crew was happy to participate and instruct the student on becoming environmental heroes.

Meridian Waste Virginia welcomed more than 300 community members including elected officials, County staff, neighbors, students, and families to the Third Annual Fall Fun Fest on Saturday, October 28.
Today started off with a bang at Lyman Elementary School in Lyman, SC when 600+ students got to learn all about the mechanical aspects of Meridian Waste’s rear load garbage truck during the Touch-A-Truck event.
The William David Vaughn scholarship provides two scholarships of $1,500 to two students from Southern Alamance High School (1 athlete and 1 non-athlete).
Guests enjoyed pumpkin painting, inflatable slides, obstacle courses, face painting, and a free BBQ lunch. The main attraction was the pumpkin patch where guests picked a pumpkin and made a charitable donation which Meridian Waste generously matched. This year’s donation recipients are East Wake Education Foundation and Good Hope Baptist Church.
Meridian Waste launched its second residential collection contract today for the City of Jacksonville, FL, representing the first time the City has granted two residential contracts to one single hauler since consolidation.
The morning event included lessons on places and organizations within the community regarding transportation, safety and community helpers - like Meridian Waste.
ECO Waste (a Meridian Waste Company) drivers Brantley “BJ” Thompson and William Gantt, Sr. along with General Manager John Prochak became BIG STARS today as they hosted a Touch-A-Truck event among 20+ young students at Great Adventures Learning Academy in Easley, SC.
On Friday, September 15th, Kimberly Sulecki, the director of E. M. Holt Elementary School’s Backpack Program, extended a warm welcome to Meridian Waste and expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the food donation, emphasizing how much it means to the program and the children it serves.
